Samsung’s Kies desktop software has ability to sync your Samsung smartphone or tablet to your PC or MAC. If you have never used Kies before, then you may not know that it can also back up the data on your Samsung device. The following is a list of what Kies can back up:  your contacts, call log, SMS/MMS messages, and media files, etc., also it support back up Samsung-specific apps, like S Planner and S Memo, which come on the Galaxy S3.

Notice: Depending on device software, some of the above contents may or may not be available for backup.
Notice: Media that is DRM-protected will not be included in the backup because of licensing reasons. For example, if you purchased a movie from Samsung’s Media Hub, the movie will not be included in the backup. However, you can still retrieve the movie after restoration by signing into your Media Hub account and downloading it.

  2. Kies no longer backs up S-Planner. It worked fine before.

I've tried to back up S-Planner on its own, or with other items, but it does not back it up.

This error notification appears: "Stopped loading GT-I9300's S Planner."

How can I fix this problem?

  3. I would also like to know if it is going to backup the S planner.
    thank you

  4. I would like to know this too. My phone just came back from being repaired (samsung galaxy S3) and had been wiped. I'd eventually managed to backup s planner through kies. Today I tried to restore it. first time it said it couldn't then I tried again and it would seem as though some events had been copied as it asked me if I wanted to overwrite existing events that were the same. specific events came up, such as a friends wedding which I clicked to overwrite existing but nothing is showing in the planner despite kies saying it had restored.
